The decision to purchase a home is one of the most important financial decisions we make.  Did you know that statistically the median homeowner has 40 times the household wealth of a renter? In fact, housing is one of the biggest positive drivers of wealth creation. That’s why it’s so important to have a plan and to engage the services of a knowledgeable agent who will work on your behalf and guide you throughout the process.

  • What are your “must-have’s?” Large kitchen? A sizeable yard for children or pets? Extra garage space for a workshop?

  • What are your functional needs such as the number of bedrooms and bathrooms or the size of your home?

  • What is your timeline?  Do you have a lease ending or are you starting a new job? Do you need to sell before you buy? Can you afford to wait for the ideal home or are your needs more immediate?

  • What is your tolerance for making some changes? Are you looking for something move-in ready or does the idea of making it your own excite you?  Are you open to making some big changes or small cosmetic ones only?

All of this information will be the foundation for finding you your home.

What Happens Next

Armed with what we now know about your plans, needs, budget and goals, I will begin the process of finding suitable homes for you.

I will send listings to you for your review and, if you see something you like, let’s go see it.  Normally when we start going to tour houses, your wish list may change a bit.  And that is okay! I can adjust our criteria along the way as we narrow the search until we find you the right home.

Once you find a house that you would like to purchase, I will do a thorough market analysis comparing current homes of the same type and in the same area, that recently sold, to help us present the best offer possible.  We will discuss our pricing strategy, keeping the current market information in mind, and land on an offered price that works for you. Our goal is to find you a home you like, at a price you are comfortable with.

Once your offer has been accepted, I will guide you through the process of the home inspection, appraisal, negotiation of any repairs, and all the way to the finish line! I am here as your partner and will advocate on your behalf throughout the entire transaction.
